Mr Bloch replaced my right hip seven weeks ago. I am now able to walk and cycle again after years of suffering a gradual decline in my mobility and increasing pain. It is no exaggeration to say that I was amazed by both the immediate relief from pain I felt after the operation and the speed of my subsequent recovery. Mr Bloch’s expertise as an orthopaedic surgeon is clear. However, he is also able (and willing) to explain details of the proposed procedure, in terms that patients will understand. He is reassuring and approachable and I shall always remain grateful for my improved quality of life arising directly from my operation.

I am now 15 weeks post op after a total hip replacement performed by Mr Bloch. I am happy to report that this operation has changed my life. The whole procedure from the first consultation to my discharge consultation with Mr Bloch was like a breath of fresh air. Mr Bloch is so easy to talk to, a very good listener and explains everything in 'normal' language. Plus he is a great surgeon!! I have had hip dysplasia from birth resulting in a significant shortening in one leg. I had a total hip replacement on my left hip 23 years ago and just recently Mr Bloch performed one on my right hip. He has been able to 'make me level' - resulting in a much better gait. I've had to wait 55 years for it but I think I'm walking the best I ever have. Keep up the good work Mr Bloch you are a star.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND MR BLOCH HIGHLY ENOUGH. HE HAS GIVEN ME MY LIFE BACK. IN THE SPACE OF 18 MONTHS HE HAS REPLACED BOTH OF MY HIPS AND I AM NOW TOTALLY PAIN FREE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 10 YEARS. I AM ONLY JUST TURNED 60 SO NOT THAT OLD AND HAVE ALWAYS TRIED TO BE ACTIVE. THAT HAD BEEN SEVERLY RESTRICTED BEFORE THE OPERATIONS BUT NOT NOW.

Gave a great explanation of the treatment I was recieving ,and as done a fantastic operation ,very happy with the out come Having a fobia of hospitals i was admitted and discharged on the same day which helped me tremendously due to Mr Bloch coming early as soon as he could to release me
